running & flying

I held Jaxon's hand,

he held the kite string.

Then we ran.

First time he's run

in over 2 months.

And the kite flew.

Big brother Max enjoyed the moment too.

carrying on!

Sorry for the long silence! I've not had easy access to a laptop for several weeks, and now I don't even have regular internet/wifi access to blog from my phone ... so posting has ceased.

Jax is doing well. He is one week away from finishing the Consolidation phase of his treatment. If his counts are high enough (ANC above .75 and Platelets above 75), he will begin Interim Maintenance 1 on Wednesday.  We have now had two appointments with the Oncology team at Victoria General Hospital, which has been so nice.  It's great to be so close to home. For most appointments, it's just a day trip. When he needs to fast before sedation for an LP, we stay overnight in Victoria so we don't have to make the long drive on an empty tummy.

I'll do more catching up when I have more time to sit and actually put some more thought into what I'm going to say!
